All the images below are fashion Illustrations I did inspired from my UNIT 12 brief of 'What does manchester mean to me?'
For information on what I did for UNIT 12 there's a tab where you can read more about it on the top bar...
I took inspiration from UNIT 12 and the whole topic of WWI and ammunition to create shapes to piece together on 3 different positioned figures, forming an abstract garment.
I started off by drawing from images from ammunition and old buildings (The building at Pollard Street East, which used to be an ammunition factory in the war) and drew them directly onto the figures. (First 4 images below)
Then for a different approach I printed the drawings onto associate where I had printed the paint splatters/ink marks onto, and then cut them out and layered them onto the figure.
The images to the right of the text are the ink copies I used for printing onto, at the bottom of the page you will see images and videos of how I made the ink pages.
Under this text are all the 'garment illustrations drawings' I've made.
For this 'Ink drawing' I placed some paper on the floor and randomly dropped paint down, and ran random objects through it togged different marks and directions.
Here's what I came out with on the first attempt.

For the second attempt I attached some light fishing wire to the roof with a pointed object attached onto the end of the wire, touching the paper underneath with ink randomly dropped onto the paper for the pointy object to pick up bits of the ink and create a drawing when it moves in the wind when people walk past... I found that the wind generated purely by people walking past wasn't strong enough to move the object around, so I created a 'sail' out of card and attached it onto the wire and positioned an electric fan in the correct position for it to form enough wind to move the wire with the objection the end...
I did a time laps of one of the pieces I did...
